British ring Coldplay beams upward new single College Power to space
The group shared a recorded outdoor performance of their new song with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who played it on board the International Space Station.

British band Coldplay chose an out of this world manner to marker the release of their latest single Higher Power on Friday (May 7): by beaming upwardly into space.
The rock grouping, known for hit songs Paradise and Viva La Vida, linked up with the International Space Station (ISS) to speak with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet about life in space.
They also shared a recorded outdoor functioning of their new song, featuring colourful conflicting holograms dancing to the tune, with Pesquet, who played it on lath the ISS.
"Right now we aren't able to play for anybody on Earth, so nosotros thought nosotros'd just play for you," lead vocalizer Chris Martin to Pesquet during their chat, a video of which was shared on Friday. "Information technology's like our one-homo concert."
Last week, the band wrote on its Twitter folio that the song, produced by Swedish songwriter and producer Max Martin, "arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the showtime of 2020".
